Celebrities are reacting to Kellyanne Conway, the Counselor to President Donald Trump, claiming in a “Meet The Press” interview on Sunday that White House press secretary Sean Spicer gave “alternative facts” when he inaccurately described the attendance size at the inauguration. See stars’ reactions to Conway’s exchange with NBC’s Chuck Todd (video below) during which he called Spicer’s remarks a “falsehood,” while she termed it “alternative facts.”
Andy Cohen joked, “#alternativefacts is perhaps the greatest Real Housewives term I have ever heard. I can’t believe we haven’t heard it on a reunion.” While mocking his own 1995 movie, Denis Leary tweeted, “#alternativefacts Operation Dumbo Drop is the greatest movie ever made. Period.” And referencing how President Trump will now definitively not release his tax returns, George Takei wrote, “Kellyanne Conjob made clear that the audit was a smokescreen, and we won’t be seeing Trump’s taxes. They’re full of ‘alternative facts.'”
Tony Goldwyn expressed, “Kellyanne Conway just coined a very dangerous phrase like it’s the most normal thing in the world. #AlternativeFacts.” Sarah Silverman said, “Lies now called ‘alternative facts’ by trump admin.” Meanwhile, Zendaya wrote, “Alternative facts….didn’t know that was a thing… a bit of an oxymoron.” And Lance Bass cracked, “As a member of the @backstreetboys, I had a love child with @BettyMWhite. #AlternativeFacts.” Gossip Cop will continue to update as more celebrities react to Conway’s use of the term “alternative facts.”
