There's a royals watch on Meghan Markle.
The up-and-coming American actress is now standing under a bigger spotlight since news of an alleged relationship with England's most eligible bachelor, Prince Harry, broke over the weekend.
Markle has since become a trending topic on Google, she's on the cover of this week's Us Weekly and People magazine claims an engagement is "certainly a possibility." Markle is not commenting and Kensington Palace is staying mum.
While the world tries to decipher Markle's recent Instagram post of two bananas hugging, here are a few facts about the beautiful brunette and possible royal in waiting.
Markle, 35, currently stars as Rachel Zane on the USA legal drama, "Suits." She's had roles on "CSI: Miami," "90210," "Without a Trace" and "General Hospital." She also appeared in a few films, "Get Him To The Greek," "Remember Me" and "Horrible Bosses."
Markle grew up in Los Angeles and graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in communications.
She's talked about struggling with her ethnic identity as a child. Last year, Markle wrote a column for Elle saying she also found it difficult to land roles. "I wasn't black enough for the black roles and I wasn't white enough for the white ones," she wrote. "Leaving me somewhere in the middle as the ethnic chameleon who couldn't book a job."
When not acting, Markle focuses her energy on her lifestyle website, The TIG, where she shares recipes and tips for fitness and travel. She's also a United Nations advocate for women and has worked with the Clean Water Campaign.

Rachel Meghan Markle (born August 4, 1981)[2] is an American actress and humanitarian activist. Best known for her role as Rachel Zane on the USA legal drama Suits, she also played FBI special agent Amy Jessup in Fox's sci-fi thriller Fringe.
Markle was born and raised in Los Angeles, California.] Her African-American mother has a Masters in Social Work and works in social welfare as a yoga therapist.[4]. Her father's profession — a photography director — had resulted in Markle spending many years as a child on the set of Married...with Children.
Markle was educated privately at Immaculate Heart High School, the all-girls, independent Roman Catholic high school in Los Angeles.[6] She graduated in 2003 with a communications degree from Northwestern University, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She has expressed an interest in returning to university to pursue a Master's in International Diplomacy.[9]
Markle's acting career began unexpectedly when she was discovered at a party after her friend gave a manager a copy of Meghan's film in college to view.[10] To support herself between acting jobs Markle worked as a freelance calligrapher.
Markle is actively involved in the socio-political arena and in 2016 she became the Global Ambassador for World Vision Canada, traveling to Rwanda for the Clean Water Campaign. She has also worked with the United Nations Women, where, as an Advocate, she presented at UN Headquarters for the HeforShe Gender Equality Campaign in September 2014. Meghan has traveled to Afghanistan with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff on a USO tour in December 2014. She is a Counsellor for the international charity One Young World, attending the annual Summits in Dublin (2014) and Ottawa (2016) where she spoke on the issues of gender equality and modern day slavery.
In 2002, Markle appeared in an episode of the daytime soap opera, General Hospital. She's also appeared in television episodes of Century City, Cuts, Love, Inc., The War at Home, 90210, Knight Rider, Without a Trace, The Apostles, CSI: NY, The League, Castle and Suits. Markle has also made appearances in the films A Lot Like Love and Deceit.
Markle appeared on Fringe as Junior Agent Amy Jessup in the first two episodes of its second season. Since July 2011 she portrays Rachel Zane, an "attractive paralegal working with Mike Ross (with his encyclopedic knowledge of the law) (Patrick J. Adams) and becomes his valuable after-hours research ally" on the USA Network show Suits.
Markle appeared in two 2010 films, Get Him to the Greek and Remember Me and one 2011 film, Horrible Bosses. She appeared in the short film The Candidate (seen on the KQED public television show ImageMakers: the Company of Men) as a secretary in 2012.
Markle married Trevor Engelson on September 10, 2011, after having dated since 2004.[18][19]
The couple split in May 2013, divorcing in August 2013. It was reported in November 2016 that divorce papers show Markle had waived her right to financial support from her ex-husband.[20]
In November 2016, the British and American press asserted that she was the current girlfriend of Prince Harry.
Markle is a self-proclaimed foodie, which was incorporated into her Suits character Rachel Zane.
