Adult actress left with broken bones in face, missing teeth, broken ribs and a lacerated liver after latest in string of alleged attacks in 'abusive relationship'
AN MMA fighter known as War Machine is accused of beating his porn star ex Christy Mack to a pulp after the pair discussed a “rape fantasy”.
Jonathan Koppenhaver (who legally changed his name to War Machine in 2008) will face trial next month for allegedly attacking Christy (real name Christine Mackinday) and her friend Corey Thomas so viciously he almost killed them, news.com.au reports.
A police report claims Koppenhaver, 34, burst into Mackinday’s Las Vegas home on August 15, 2014, and accused her of cheating on him with Thomas.
He then allegedly punched and choked Thomas for nearly ten minutes before ordering him to leave and warning him not to call police.
But unbeknown to Koppenhaver, Mackinday called cops during the alleged assault on Thomas.
Once Thomas was gone, police allege War Machine turned on Mackinday, repeatedly punching her as she ran into a bathroom and then forcing her to take a shower.
He then allegedly delivered a beating so ferocious it left his victim with a blowout fracture of her left eye and several other broken bones in her face, two missing teeth, a lacerated liver, broken ribs and serious bruisings.
Mackinday later posted shocking photographs of her injuries on social media.
The trial is set to get ugly after the judge ruled he will allow testimony on a discussion the couple had about acting out a “rape fantasy”.
According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, Koppenhaver's lawyer Brandon Sua had asked Mackinday on the stand: “Do you ever recall stating to Mr Koppenhaver that ‘real men rape’?”
She replied: “That was a joke between us."
Asked to elaborate, Mackinday said: “That was a pretty common slogan for him to say, and yes, I would repeat it back to him.”
Mr Sua then asked whether the couple ever acted upon those comments.
Mackinday replied: “I did actually ask him to play out a rape fantasy one time but it never came to fruition."
She described rape fantasy as a personal “role play” and “fetish” in which a “very specific set of guidelines and rules would be set down and laid out before the acts are actually done, for safety and consent. She added: “I wouldn’t want to have an actual rape happen.”
